The Botanist, Newcastle
The Botanist Newcastle is located in a magnificent building in the heart of Newcastle.
If you want a martini with a great view no matter what the weather is like, head to The Botanist’s covered rooftop bar.
Perfect space to have small events or a meeting.
The Botanist Newcastle’s rooftop bar has an enchanted forest vibe, so find a snug spot and gaze into Earl Grey’s eyes as you watch the world go by opposite Grey’s Monument.
The Muddler
The Muddler has incredible Pan-Asian cuisine, some of the best I’ve ever had.
Although slightly more expensive than some other places, it is really worth it. The interior is beautifully decorated, or you can sit in the sunshine on Grey Street.
Since this is located in the centre of the city and directly across from the Theatre Royal, you should visit later in the day if you want to enjoy the sun.
It is an amazing place for a date, simply to pamper yourself or hang out with your loved ones.
Chaophraya
The Grey Monument in Newcastle is home to a Thai restaurant. Chaophraya has the best roof terrace view so far.
They offer a wide range of classic Thai and signature dishes and a terrific view from their roof terrace.
An amazing setting to enjoy the summer with your friends.
Considering the North East weather, in case it rains don’t worry they have roofs.
Gaeng Keow Wan- a chicken Thai green curry is at the top of my list. Overall it is a very relaxing and soothing atmosphere.
Three Mile

The Terrace is perfect for a countryside getaway. The recent makeover, which was inspired by the surrounding region and its history, has given our much-loved venue added character.
Fun fact about Three Mile it is exactly three miles away from the city center. Here comfort is important and good standards are ensured.
The well-stocked bar offers a wide selection of beers, cocktails and wines, while the chefs’ skill ranges from a la carte meals to classic Sunday lunches, all made to order using fresh, local ingredients.
Three Mile also has a pizza place connected to it. The Pizza Dough Co Newcastle specialises in creating handcrafted Neapolitan-style pizzas using traditional methods and fresh ingredients. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven and topped with a variety of toppings, including classic margherita, pepperoni, and vegetarian options.
